Information Technology The Marcus Evans Group's IT department are responsible for providing the organisation with the IT infrastructure, systems and support that are essential to maintain market leadership.

We are looking to recruit a C# .Net/MS SQL database developer for 3 months to join our small team and work on new and existing projects resulting from the company's recent growth and new business development.

The position will be based in our London headquarters and will include:
•Building and maintaining database and web applications.
•Bringing existing systems up to date
•Integration of Legacy data
•Analysis of solutions to meet business requirements
•The maintenance and development of event and divisional web sites
•Developing semantically correct, strict W3C standards compliant & WCAG focused XHTML & CSS code
•User focused and accessible pixel perfect web design and coding

The successful applicant should have at least 5 years relevant commercial experience. Self-motivation, good communication skills (fluent English speaker), a strong creative vision, experience in online design and the ability to work to deadlines are key traits.

You will ideally come from a C++ or C# background and either have good .net (C#, ASP.NET) skills or be determined to move into .net.

An Excellent working knowledge of SQL (SQL Server/MySQL) is essential; web design skills (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver) are also highly desirable.

Salary: £9,000 dependent on experience on a fixed term 3 month contract

1st Line IT Helpdesk Anaylst required to support an internal European user base.

The role is based in London and the working hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm. You will be providing telephone and email support on the internal systems that are supported by the IT Department.
As part of our European team, you will be supporting a user base in offices all over Europe, including; Berlin, Dublin, Prague, Barcelona and Cyprus. Given this multi-site, multi-lingual user base, it's vital that you have excellent written and spoken English (a second European language is a bonus).

Basic pc/laptop configurations

Video conferencing solutions
Blackberry setup
